Marketing Website: Refers to https://www.schoolkit.ca, used to provide information about our services to prospective clients.
Schoolkit Platform (“Platform”): Refers to our website design and content management platform used by school districts, individual schools, and their authorized representatives.

a. Marketing Website
- Personal Information: If you use our contact form or email us, we may collect personal information you voluntarily provide.
b. Schoolkit Platform Users
- Account Information: We do not collect personal information from end-users (students, parents, or public website visitors) via the Platform. The school email address of any staff content creators provisioned by a school district may be used as part of the login credentials to the CMS. This information is collected and maintained strictly for service provision, account administration, and support.
- Website Content: Content created, posted, or managed by the district and its corresponding schools, programs and/or departments via the Platform remains under their control. The district is responsible for ensuring their content complies with applicable privacy laws and their own privacy policies.

4. Use of Information

To respond to inquiries and provide requested information via our marketing site.
To provide, operate, maintain, and support the Platform and related services to authorized users.
To monitor, maintain, and improve the functionality, security, and performance of the Marketing Website and Platform.
Aggregated and anonymized traffic data may be used for reporting and service enhancement.

5. Analytics and Cookies

The Platform does not use cookies.
The websites provisioned for the district, schools, programs and departments do not use cookies.
Schools or districts may choose to implement supplementary analytics tools on their own websites, and are responsible for informing their communities as appropriate.
The Platform itself does not use analytics, cookies, or tracking technologies to collect personal information from end-users, although customers may connect their own analytics account to the platform for tracking visitor activity.

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information
We do not share information with third parties except:
- When necessary to provide or support our services (eg. web hosting providers, only as required and under strict confidentiality obligations).
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to valid governmental or regulatory requests.
We never share students’ or end-users’ personal information for marketing or advertising purposes.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Platform content creator IDs are retained for the duration of the client relationship or until deleted upon request or by district ID administrators.

Our services are not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Schools using the Platform are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws regarding children’s data.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You may request deletion of your personal information submitted through the Marketing Website by emailing privacy@schoolkit.ca.
Platform administrators can contact us to update or delete their account information.

11. Compliance with PIPEDA

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and endeavor to meet all Canadian requirements regarding handling and protection of personal information.
